5 things that may save your NFT project
January 31, 2023
We like to think we have somewhat of a unique view of the Web3 space and NFTs in particular… In their current iteration, NFTs have become one of the first two-way engagement entertainment vehicles in the visual arts sector (movies, shows, comics, etc).
What is a two-way engagement entertainment vehicle you might ask? This is a model in which the focus shifts from pure consumption (watching tv, reading books, etc) to co-creation, in which your input changes the experience for yourself and others.
We have seen this model become more and more adopted within other sectors like gaming (games like Roblox valuing UGC over all), music (stem sharing like Splice), social media (Tiktok’s remix feature), and in fact Netflix has made an attempt with movies like Bandersnatch.
But NFTs have taken it to an entirely new level - there is community engagement happening from conception to the grave (sadly all too often). From co-storytelling, like Forgotten Rune Wizard's Cult, to co-creation of pixel art like The Bored Ape Yacht Club - We are collectively creating an entirely new, holistic, entertainment experience - and we believe this can be taken a lot further (and leveraged to revive your project if the bear market is taking it's toll).
But how?
Get your community involved in telling your story: Forgotten Runes did this beautifully, as did many other projects - but the concept is simple. Allow your holders to tell their own story within the narrative of your world. This increases commitment and creates brand champions.
BUILD TRUST: Trust is the byproduct of consistency over time. Don't make promises you have no idea how to (or intention to) keep.
Be intentional with your spending: Only spend your investors dollars on delivering your roadmap, developing your story, and entertaining your holders!
Create channels for your IP to flow to other projects and worlds: Whether this is live events, twitter spaces, partnerships, or integrations with games and metaverses. One method we use at GetCrspy is through interoperable 3D avatars that can be utilized in many virtual spaces. If your project is omnipresent across many mediums and environments - your brand awareness will skyrocket.
Hyper Specificity: Just as with any start up, you need to know exactly who your "avatar" or end user is. And you need to know exactly the problem you are solving for them, or the benefit you are adding to their lives. This can be tricky with entertainment, but the more clear you are with your WHY - the how will come naturally.
With all of that being said - it can sometimes be difficult to handle all on your own. This is why we created GetCrspy…
We don't want to show all of our cards too early - but right now, we help NFT projects in 3 ways: Avatars, Stories, and Experiences…
Avatars: We are currently in development of our character builder. This will provide a means to easily create playable avatars from familiar NFT collections - then connect them with different games and metaverses.
Stories: A lot of projects have dabbled in this realm - but we believe this is a simple area to build a lot of entertainment value. Combining our cinematic services with the @Octalysis gamification framework, we can create engaging and exciting stories that span across multiple mediums.
Experiences: To build on the last point - Many of these stories culminate in experiences - where we work with NFT projects to build mini-games, virtual events, and metaverse environments that build the project’s world around 1 main pillar: fun.
